“Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.”
― Coco Chanel
I couldn’t agree more with the quote above, thus my post today. To start with, the dress is as simple as they come . Not entirely sure if to call it a slip dress but the spaghetti straps sort of makes it one. The rich beautiful color and the simple curve accentuating design makes this piece a favorite especially when looking to effortlessly transition from a day look to an evening look.
By a adding a coat, a nice simple neck-piece and a pair of pumps this look would perfectly work for official meetings. For a more casual look a cardigan and ballerinas makes it an effortless chic casual outfit suitable for running errands in or grabbing that lunch with friends. For the evening outlook ,may it be something formal or something casual and the elegant sophisticated inner girl in you starts to nudge this dress with little additions is the best pick.
In order to achieve the perfect yet simple evening look, I paired the dress with a pair of sandals and threw in a shawl for a complete evening feel. A shawl/scarf can be and should be a stylish addition to your outfit, ideal for cooler days and evenings in substitute for jackets and coats which can prove to be bulky and tiresome at times. Wearing a shawl can really spice up the look of a simple dress or add elegance to a more formal gown. You can wrap a shawl in various different ways, giving you nearly endless fashion possibilities. For a glamorous touch add a sparkly broach to your shawl. Pin the broach on a part of the shawl where it will be visible, like the part that falls over your upper chest. I chose to drape my shawl over my arms for a less restricted yet effortless feel so as to show off the back of the dress. Have a look,
In addition to the dressing more is required, for instance a smile and confidence which truly are the best outfit compliments and the best accessories one could ever wear. I conclude my post with two quotes to encourage and inspire every woman reading this post.
