“Create your own style… let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.”
― Anna Wintour
As much as we love trends and all, it all boils to a point where your input matters most . And that my friends is how personal style is. A true representation of who we are without saying much. For me fashion is all about how I feel about a certain piece or an outfit in general and as long as I am comfortable, anything goes. That can only barely express how much I love love this outfit. Quirky in every way, sexy in another and it really brings out the playful side of me.
Mixing prints can be very intimidating to the say the least. A big fashion no no but a trend that has gained recognition over time. The cool thing about mixing prints is that it’s bold, fun and when done right, you’re sure to stand out from the crowd. The black bralet breaks down the patterns and gives them an edgier look while the lime green shoes breaks the monotony of repetitive black and white.
Shoulder pads, divisive topic isn’t it. Synonymous with power dressing in the 80s. A glamorous look nonetheless. The idea behind the trend was to widen your shoulders which creates an upside down triangle effect for a — you guessed it! — tiny waist. I wore my red over sized padded jacket with the polka dot mini skirt and I must admit I love this look. Does bring a little nostalgia while keeping it très chic. Plus how well does the colors complement each other?..swooon!
