Monochrome moments…

img_2064Being a culprit of last minute purchases especially for special occasions I realize how stressful finding something befitting is. I bought this dress a while back and kept it with the hope of getting to wear it to a befitting  occasion. I haven’t had my befitting occasion yet but I’m a firm believer in positivity and I equally believe that simple things like dresses can serve as a point of hope and reminder of where you want to get. Inspiration can be drawn from anything you see, like those dresses or clothes you’ve bought and constantly wonder where you will get to wear them. Let them be a reminder of what you’re working for and enjoy the steps however small and insignificant they may seem, all the while embracing the joys and challenges you may encounter, this are the things that makes our journeys interesting and different.

I absolutely love the simple sleekness delivered by this dress. Black dresses are stunning but one with a contrasting color is an absolute head turner. The spaghetti straps and the side slit are very simple but very appealing. I would go further to say that this dress would work perfectly for those who love simple elegance. There is beauty in simplicity. I went easy on the accessories and just added a gorgeous pair of sandals and a simple yet striking clutch bag, oh and my watch as i never seem to take it off haha, it’s hard really. To further emphasize on the simpleness of this look I opted to just pull my hair back. Here is the full look,
